Topic of today is learn the correct writing strokes of Chinese characters

(Opening with) 「Are you thirty?」

写(寫)中文字 Write Chinese characters 

基本笔画(筆劃) Basic strokes

丶  点(點) dot (dian)

一  橫  horizontal (heng)

|     竖(豎) vertical (shu)

/     撇 down stroke to left (pie)

 \    捺 down stroke to right (na) 

學習如何算筆劃 and learning to count how many strokes

example: 

『六』dian - heng - pie - na = 4筆劃 / 4 strokes

『三』heng - heng - heng = 3筆劃 / 3 strokes

『八』撇捺 pie - na = 2筆劃 / 2 strokes

『十』橫豎 heng - shu = 2筆劃 / 2 strokes

筆劃基本規則:

1. 從左到右   from top to bottom

2. 從上到下   from left to right

3.先橫後豎   Horizontal before Vertical

Topic of this term is to introduce the correct writing of Chinese characters in strokes

使用筷子道具,數1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 

使用字卡複習中文字的 一二三四五六七八九十

介紹和學習中文的十一 十二 十三 十四 十五 十六 十七 十八 十九

讓小朋友練習看阿拉伯數字轉中文數字,例: 10 (十) 9(九) 11(十一) 12(十二)

Use chopsticks as props, count 1~10

Use flash cards to revise numbers in Chinese characters

Introduce counting beyond 10: eleven~twenty, then thirty, forty, fifty, sixty, seventy, eighty, ninety   

Let children "translate" Arabic numerals into Chinese characters, example: 10 (十) 9(九) 11(十一) 12(十二)

基本規則: 1. 從左到右 2. 從上到下

Introduce the basic strokes for Chinese characters: 丶一 | / \

with rules: always 1. left to right, 2. top down

學習內容(learning contents):

這次的主題是認識"復活節"和"清明節"

Topic of this week is "Easter" and "Tomb Sweeping Day" (Qingming Festival) 

* 活動一 / exercise one

朱赤解說復活節的由來: 復活節 ≠ 彩蛋 ≠ 小兔

復活節是因為上帝的兒子「耶穌基督」在星期五受難日被釘死在十字架後第三天復活

象徵新生命(重生和希望)。

所以彩蛋因為會孵出小雞,所以代表新生命

而小兔是出現也代表春神的來臨,牠們也是生最多動物之一,因此也代表生命蓬勃

小朋友們說小兔是送彩蛋禮物來的! 也是正確!!

ZhuChi explained the origin of Easter to the children: Easter ≠ Easter egg ≠ Bunny

Easter holiday is celebrating the resurrection of Jesus Christ on the third day after his crucifixion. 

It represents "new life".

Easter egg = a bird hatches from it with life

Easter bunny = Bunnies come when Spring arrives, they also represent fertility and lives.

The children are correct too when they say Easer bunny brings Easter eggs and gifts to them.

  Revise "family members":  I, dad, mum, older brother,  older sister, younger brother,younger sister. 

- 發紙筆讓小朋友可以自己畫+寫自己的兄弟姐妹

  Given pens and papers for the children to draw their siblings and try to write the words.

- 造句練習 / Making sentences

  1. 我有 爸爸/妈妈/哥哥/姐姐/弟弟/妹妹　(I have dad/mum/gege etc.)

  2. 數一數這家有幾個人? 七個。(Count how many people in this family? 7. )

  3. 我有一個弟弟。我有兩個妹妹。(I have one younger brother. I have 2 younger sisters.)

複習十二生肖

同時介紹十二生肖中常見被拿來當寵物的動物「鼠」「兔」「狗」

十二生肖中不是真的動物的是「龍」

Revision on the 12 animal signs representing Chinese Years 

Introduce that Mouse, Rabbit and Dog are often found as pets.

But Dragon is not a real life animal.

Practice recognising: Cat, Dog, Rabbit, Goldfish.

  Q: 你家裡有沒有(猫/狗/兔子/金鱼)? A: 有。Q: 有幾隻?

Topic of this week is "family members" in reading/writing practice 

* 活動一 / exercise one

- 點名: 先編號,叫號後,小朋友答: 「1號是我xxx」「2號是我xxx」

  take register: give every child a number, by calling the number, the child answers: No. 1 is me, xxx (name)

- 互動: 請問他叫什麼名字? 小朋友答: 他是xxx

  activity: "What is his/her name?" Children answer: He/she is xxx.

*活動二 / exercise two 

- 複習"身體部位": 「頭」「頭髮」「眼睛」「耳朵」「鼻子」「手」「腳」「嘴巴/口」

  Revise "body parts": head/hair/eyes/ears/nose/hands/feet/mouth

- 唱 「頭兒肩膀膝腳趾」

  Sing " head shoulders knees and toes"

- 動詞練習: 拍,搖,摸,抓    

  Verbs: clap, shake, touch, grab

- "老師說"遊戲: 如- 摸鼻子, 摸頭髮, 搖屁股, 拍手

  "Simon says" game: ex. touch nose, touch hair, shake bottom, clap

介紹辛普森一家: 爸爸,媽媽,巴特,麗莎妹妹,瑪姬妹妹

巴特的爸爸是誰? 巴特的媽媽是誰,麗莎是巴特的妹妹,瑪姬的哥哥是 etc. 

Introducing the Simpsons: daddy Homer, mummy Marge, Bart, Lisa, Maggie

Who is Bart's daddy? Who is Bart's mummy? Lisa is Bart's sister, Maggie's brother is Bart etc.

習字練習: 「爸爸」「妈妈」「我」「哥哥」「姐姐」「弟弟」「妹妹」

Practice recognising and/or writing: dad, mum, myself, older brother, younger brother, older sister, younger sister.

A1: 你有妹妹嗎? Q1: 我的妹妹是xxx,他在那裡。Q2: 我沒有。

       Do you have a sister? Q1: Yes, my sister is xxx and she is over there. Q2: No, I don't.

A2: 她是誰的妹妹? / Whose sister is that?

A3: 有媽媽的舉手? / Raise your hand if you have mummy? (Everyone - well done!)

A4: 沒有爸爸的舉手? / Raise your hand if you don't have daddy. (No one - clever, didn't get tricked!)

A5: 誰有弟弟? / Who has a younger brother?
