Christmas Celebration/End of Term

Can you believe it is nearly Christmas! Last week, it was our last lesson of the year and we end the school term with a big party that was packed full of fun activites and games!

As always, I am in charge of crafts and this year, I decided to make Christmas Stocking decoration for tree. Not only that, we learnt how to write Merry Christmas in Chinese characters by getting children to practise the strokes. Then get everyone to decorate their stocking.

Later, we played a few games by getting them to recognise words.

This is our last lesson of the year and we will be welcoming you all back on the 15 January 2019!

Dragon Boat Celebration

This school term, one of the mummies Ailin organized some party games for the children and one of the game was to make dumpling craft. The Dragon Boat festival involves eating dumplings (zongzi – sticky rice) and racing dragon boats! If you want to know what the dumplings look like, check out the post I wrote four years ago.
